PREFACE

The International Conference on Digital Manufacturing
(ICDM 2025), with the theme “Industry 4.0: Driving Innovation
through Digitalisation”, was successfully held on 16 June 2025
at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA),
Pekan, Pahang, Malaysia. This conference was organised as part
of the ERASMUS+ GetInnovative4Impact Project deliverables,
bringing together researchers, engineers, and academicians from
local and international institutions to share their latest findings and
innovations in digital manufacturing.

Volume 1 of this proceedings features six selected full papers
that reflect a diverse range of topics within the scope of digital
manufacturing, including material characterisation, machine
learning applications, rapid prototyping, and non-contact
metrology. These contributions demonstrate how digitalisation
and smart technologies are shaping modern manufacturing
practices, promoting sustainability, precision, and performance
enhancement.

The conference served as an important platform to foster
collaboration and knowledge exchange among participants and
highlight the critical role of Industry 4.0 in transforming
traditional manufacturing ecosystems. The organising committee
extends its heartfelt appreciation to all authors, reviewers, and
participants whose contributions have enriched this volume.

We hope that the readers will find this collection of research
papers both insightful and inspiring, and that it will contribute
positively to future innovations in the field of digital
manufacturing.
